Summary
Withdraw as a general partner
You can file a statement to let the public know that a person or business is withdrawing as a general partner from a fictitious business name (FBN) statement.
- Filing this statement does not expire the FBN.
- The FBN stays active as long as the withdrawal is filed according to California Business and Professions Code Section 17923 (a), (b), and (c).
- You may need to publish a notice of withdrawal in a newspaper of general circulation.
Before you publish, check our list of approved newspapers.
