Parcel Map Update/Maintenance
How Parcel Maps Are Updated
Our mapping team updates assessor parcel maps by adjusting parcel lines and creating new parcel numbers. These updates reflect changes such as:
- New subdivisions
- Lot-line adjustments
- Annexations
- Other boundary changes
We base all updates on recorded maps and documents.
You can find these documents at the Marin County Recorder’s Office. To buy a copy, you’ll need the map number or document number.
Search Recorder's Official Records
Processing Times
Our mapping team processes recorded deeds and maps in the order we receive them.
Processing times can vary based on our workload and the annual tax roll schedule.
We do not create new assessor parcel numbers in May or June due to tax roll preparation.
